Original Post; Calling all gym bunnies (well, gym buddies) North Yorkshire based clothing brand Sik Silk has created a specialised collection for men who want to work out, and look like they just walked off a runway at the same damn time.
Sik Silk was founded by Barrington Gill in 2012, the SikSilk team tells me he thought of the idea when he was “driving his bus on a school round.”
Now, Gill and a team of 15 work together to create clothes inspired by American, British and Japanese fashion with a clear nod to street style.
The collection has a clear gym focus, and here’s why;
“We are all massively into the gym, Leon the model is a huge gym fanatic, Sam is a big cyclist and Baz is amateur footballer so it came naturally to make a gym collection.
Our inspiration is Nike, they are miles ahead of anyone. There are a few great smaller brands such as Gym Shark who have done exceptionally well in the gym market — it’s great to see.”
And what about the future?
“Our collections will continue to push the boundaries on design, trends, graphics and diversity,” say the team.
The gym collection is available now at www.siksilk.com and in stores at Foot Asylum and some independent retailers nationwide.
